A1 Drip Paintings

This week I have focused on painting the backgrounds to some new works I will be completeing very soon. The colours and the design are heavily inspired by the work of Jackson Pollock and Larry Poons, in the way they are determined by chance and the large mix of vibrant colours. I plan on adding my own influences to the pieces, including an array of botanical items. I want to do more with the idea of the fig tree and experiment on Van Gogh's cherry blossom tree paintings. I think this would be a perfect time to encorporate them into my work.
