This week I have been looking a lot at Van Gogh and how I could incorporate his work into my work, extending the list of artists that I plan on mashing together into one big painting. The paintings I have been predominantly looking at are Van Gogh's Cherry Blossom tree paintings. I thing they are very visually pleasing and would be a good addition to my work, as I am very interested in botanical things and the aesthetic that they have.

I have used acrylic paint on the walls of my studio to create this tree in the style of Van Gogh's cherry blosson paintings. The tree branches have a lot more detail in them than the leaves do at the moment but I will get around to neatening them up at some point. The main focus of the whole tree was trying to replicate the branches of Van Gogh's paintings and I am happy with the outcome that has been achieved.
