Van Gogh was the artist who stood out to me the most when I had the idea to incorporate roses into my work. Despite him not painting too many roses, his flower paintings were very interesting to me and gave me a lot of ideas to what I wanted to do in my art work. The bold colours and the neat lines that make up a Van Gogh flower painting is what makes the painting more magnigicent and interesting to look at. In my work, I would like to incorporte the ideas of thick, bold lines and blocks of pure colour to create my roses, as I like the idea of Van Gogh's style of impressionism and I think it would be interesting and fun to experiment with.
