Introductary Roses
Im starting to incorporate different types of roses into my work at the moment, focusing more on these than Monet, but obviously still keeping him in mind. Roses and flowers are what I wanted to start out my impressionism with. Im currently looking around Newcastle and Sunderland at this time of year for any remaining roses that I can incorporate into my art work. But until I can find them, I have a book full of roses that Virginia left on my desk. I have found one type of rose that I think is perticularly beautiful and have persisted to study it in full. I have sketched it, painted it, traced it and collaged it. Its a good starting point for my own style of impressionism.
