Statement of intent

I wish to devlop my knowledge of impressionism, expressionism and different kinds of abstract work. From my posts, you will see that my second year will focus on continuing my passion for nature and my own personalisation of the subject. I would like to explore areas of art that I have never been brave enough to go into, such as expressionism, as well as keeping a realistic vibe in my paintings. I would like to further expand my use of materials, such as using larger surface areas to paint on, using different mark-making materials and finding different ways to create art on a surface. I will be researching many artists to achieve my goal related to my main areas of focus and will visit galleries and shows whenever possible to expand my knowledge of the art world.
